Right to Water

Our next Outreach Collection will be Sunday, February 26 to support the environmental dimension of our strategies for the year. The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s Justice Sunday in the spring of 2012 focuses on the Human Right to Water – that all people have a right to safe, sufficient, affordable, accessible water for daily human needs. Locally, ECO is working to expand their water quality work and engage more communities to take charge of water quality issues in their neighborhoods, as well as to engage local policymakers to be sure we have better protections for watersheds. Specifically, the Outreach Collection will be split 50-50 between the UUSC’s Justice Sunday initiative and ECO.
